Policies & Rate Information
Rule one: Music is fun and it should be enjoyed. The study of music should bring satisfaction to the student as they learn to understand the joy that they are sharing with their audience. As teachers, to hear our students bring music to their parents, relatives, and friends, and to know the accomplishment that they have worked toward is why we teach. Music is important in all of our lives.
Although the teacher meets once a week with the student, most of the work occurs at home. For the best results, a minimum required practice schedule of 20-30 minutes per day, five days a week should be established. However, the instructor may recommend increasing practice time as it becomes necessary for each student’s progress.Family Music of Boerne students and their families should note the following:

Attendance and Make-Up Policy:
At the beginning of any program, specific days and times for lessons are agreed upon between parents/guardians, students and the instructor. Regular attendance is expected. As soon as possible the student should notify Family Music of Boerne of any absence for any reason. Make-up lessons are permitted but only at the teacher's discretion and availability.
Make-up lessons are only available within seven days of the canceled lesson and must be requested by the student or Parent ASAP. If the student misses a scheduled make-up lesson, that lesson will be forfeited. We strive to work with our students and their parents in every situation.
