J.P. Farrell was born in Glen Cove, New York and has composed music and studied music theory from an early age; a multi-instrumentalist, he has played in numerous ensembles in Long Island, New York and Minnesota.
He holds a B.A degree in Music Theory from SUNY Geneseo (School of the Arts) and is a member of the Songwriters Guild of America and the American Federation of Musicians (Local 23, San Antonio, TX).
Farrell has worked with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Opera. He is the former Director of St. Paul’s School of Music (Long Island, N.Y.) and owner of Family Music of Boerne (TX). Mr. Farrell is the primary instructor for Band, Orchestra, Guitar and Piano Students.
